Overview

A compact live/work studio on a narrow infill lot, stacking a ground-floor workshop beneath a top-floor residence connected by an open-air stair.

Rainey Street's tight lots forced a vertical solution. We split the program into two volumes joined by an exterior stair and a shared roof deck, keeping the workshop's concrete and steel palette separate from the warmer, wood-lined living quarters above.
